Question server, workstation services


Hi all,

what is the linux equivalent services of server & workstation services in windows XP ?

Daemons started by System V run commands as you can find in /etc/init.d; there are common ones and server/workstation specific ones, depending on what you need. Note that there are also other ways to start "services"
