Sendmail on RedHat 9 does not work

Hello,

I installed a web server - RH9 - which is a router to our ISP; also on this server the emails are stored until they are taken by network users ( Windows machines ).

From a reason which I don't know, we are not able to send / receive emails to / from outside; the emails on the internal network are working fine; the Internet connection is also working without any problem.

Since I am new on this thing, I would be very grateful for any help I could get from you guys...

What I did:

- edited local-host-names;
- edited access;
- edited sendmail.mc ( want to see it? )

I don't know where to look at to solve this issue...

Find this statement in sendmail.mc, if it looks like this

Code:

DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')dnl

Change it to this

Code:

dnl DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')dnl

Adding "dnl" to the front of the line allows sendmail to listen on all available interfaces not just 127.0.0.1

Make sendmail.cf

This is the first place to look
