Hello,
I own a public Sendmail server that is usually working correctly for receiving my mails.
Mails received on this server are then forwarded to my real mailbox (I am using a ~/.forward file for that).
However, recently I asked to set a new email address on the Freenode IRC Network and I never received the mail confirmation for this action.
When I check the log of my Sendmail server, I see that:
Code:
Aug 8 09:58:36 <my server name> sm-mta[25165]: STARTTLS=<my server name>, relay=mail.freenode.net [163.172.127.19], version=TLSv1.2, verify=FAIL, cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384, bits=256/256
Aug 8 09:58:36 <my server name> sm-mta[25165]: x787wZAU025165: from=<noreply.support@freenode.net>, size=1076, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<20190808075833.A30921808CD@mail.freenode.net>, proto=ESMTPS, daemon=MTA, relay=mail.freenode.net [163.172.127.19]
Aug 8 09:58:37 <my server name> sm-mta[25166]: STARTTLS=client, relay=mx1.free.fr., version=TLSv1.2, verify=FAIL, cipher=AES256-GCM-SHA384, bits=256/256
Aug 8 09:58:37 <my server name> sm-mta[25166]: x787wZAU025165: to=<my real email adress>, delay=00:00:01, xdelay=00:00:01, mailer=esmtp, pri=31357, relay=mx1.free.fr. [212.27.48.6], dsn=5.0.0, stat=Service unavailable
Aug 8 09:58:37 <my server name> sm-mta[25166]: x787wZAU025165: x787wbAT025166: DSN: Service unavailable
Remark: To avoid spam (or any kind of attack) I replaced above my server name (the one shown when I type the 'hostname' command in the shell on my server) with <my server name> and I replaced my real email address (the one that I use to check my mails through a mailbox web interface provided by a well-known provider like Gmail or Yahoo but you can guess which one it is by looking carefully the log) with <my real email adress>.
I already checked my DNS with
intoDNS and my mail server with
MXToolBox and everything seems to be fine.
Do you know why I can't receive this mail from the Freenode IRC Network whereas I usually receive any mails someone send to me?
Thank you.
Best regards.
