Hi when booting rh9 hangs at sendmail and smb client when I look in the /var/spool/mail/root

there is this....

this seems to be a DNS issue but I'm not running a DNS server. My rh9 box is connected to a router
(via a switch) Dynalink RTA300 which gives out leases on IP addresses in the range 192.168.1.(1-255) .

what do I need to do to stop the hanging at boot time?

add your hostname (computer name) to /etc/hosts under localhost
