sendmail domain of sender does not exist

I'm a complete sendmail newbie so please be patient.

I'm setting up sendmail to use as mail server for the local network. I can pop the dovecot server using user@192.168.0.100, but when I try to send using user@192.168.0.100 I get an error message say the domain of sender does not exist.

Any help?

I had the same problem some time ago. I solved it with option -f of sendmail, e.g.
Code:
/usr/sbin/sendmail -f sender@domain recipient@domain ...

Solved

Thanks for your help. I solved the problem by adding 192.168.0.100 to my /etc/hosts file and adding:

192.168.0 RELAY

to my /etc/mail/access file

Thanks again for your help
