Is there a simple way (no custom development) to selectively relay dhcp requests to different dhcp servers based on mac addresses? I could use this to deal with a digital TV tuner.
In what exact way are you trying to relay DHCP per MAC address? Almost sounds to me like you are thinking in terms of a static DHCP lease, unless I am wrong.
I think my problem can be restated into a problem of MAC-auth based VLANs. I had already solved this problem in the past using a port based VLAN approach. But to make things complicated is that the digital tv tuner receives two IP addresses one external and one internal via a propietary modem/router/gateway. I'm now trying to rebuild this using open source technology. So I need to figure out how to put the digital tv tuner into 2 separate VLANs, such that this tuner receives 2 separate IP addresses from 2 dhcp servers.
