SCP stalles connection.

Hy there,

I´m running a cron job under Suse 9.2 which gets some backups from a server. Sometimes it did not quite finish its jobs and after investing it a bit I found that the connections stalles. Can any one of you tell me the reason for this. Heres is the output of the run when it stalled:

Sink: T1152014498 0 1152014502 0
Entering directory: D0777 0 20060704020001

Sending file modes: C0644 237963527 WebPortal.zip
Sink: C0644 237963527 WebPortal.zip
WebPortal.zip 98% 223MB 0.0KB/s - stalled -
WebPortal.zip 98% 223MB 0.0KB/s - stalled -debug1: channel 0: free: client-session, nchannels 1
debug1: fd 0 clearing O_NONBLOCK
debug1: fd 1 clearing O_NONBLOCK
Killed by signal 2.

I used to start it with a limit of 1500 using the -l options. Any ides would be greatly appreciated, cause i don't want to rob all the bandwith from me coworker.

Can I see the script, or at least the scp related portion?

Also, what's your bandwidth like? Sometimes bad links can cause timeouts.

Here is the part of me script where i start scp. $DATE is a directory on the server which contains about 12 zip files.

Code:
cd /../tach/auch/oder/so/sdfjklj123489s7dfn 2> /dev/null

while [ $? != 0 ]; do
  logger -i -p local3.info -t "backup" "SCP Download..."
  sudo -u backup scp -P 52022 -p -v -r *.*.*.*:/backup/$DATE* $SAVEDIR
  logger -i -p local3.info -t "backup" "Return $?"
done
