Samba/RH8/WinXP passwords (simple question)

This is a fairly simple question - though I couldn't find it when searching the forum :-/

Anyway, I've got 3 PCs (2 WinXP and 1 RH8.0). The rh box is going to be a file server so I've set up samba and the WinXP machines see eachother and the rh server but when I click the rh server it asks me for a password. WQhat is it/how do I set it?

this depends what's in your samba config's security= setting, you probably either need to add the user that you use to login to your windows xp machines in the samba linux machine and set a password for them or add "public = yes" to your samba config to allow anyone to access your samba.
