Samba and WinME

I am trying to configure Samba on my MD8.0 box to talk to my WinME machine. I am clueless as where to start....I can bring up SWAT in a browser, but that is as far as I get. It keeps referring to /usr/local/samba/ which I can't find anywhere. I tried all the different directories where it would install, but i can't find it.

run "rpm -qa | grep samba" and whatever you get, type "rpm -ql <samba.whatever.mdk>" to see a list of all the files it installed.

The samba-howto is a good place to start looking for info.
