Unhappy Routing all traffic through Virtualboxed pfSense

Okay, I have been at this for days now. My limited knowledge of networks and linux has me really over my head. None-the-less I remain determined. I am looking to set up a VM as my router with the host running a varient of Arch Linux. I would like to do it this way because I would also like to run other virtualized servers on the same machine (namely a HTTP server).

With the article below is how I started this project using Win7
http://timita.org/wordpress/2011/07/...rt-1-preamble/

The problem here is that Win7 is bloated and has no drivers for my NIC. This is a nightmare for me. If I can get any pointers or hints that would be great.

I have pfsense's NICs set up as:
NIC1 WAN bridged mode eth0
NIC2 LAN bridged mode eth1

With this set up I cannot connect to the web interface, nor can pfsense ping google. I can ping google when the wan is set to NAT mode, but I still can't connect to the web interface. I am sure there is something wrong with my hosts network set up. I just don't know what I tried bridges and various settings but no progress.

Thanks for any help,
Freeman

Set the IP address of your pfSense machine in the same network range of your Windows 7 machine when in Bridged mode. And also set the gateway as same as the Win7.
