roaming profiles not working??

Recently I had to reset up my Samba server (running Suse Std Server 8.0). Ever since then, I haven't been able to get roaming profiles to work. When logging on to the network, it says "Roaming profile could not be found". It is, however, creating a directory in the /home/samba-ntprof directly for each user, but no info/data is being saved there. Any ideas??

Also, I have one user who is on a Win98 machine that can't connect to the network printer (attached to a WinXP machine). It keeps saying it is offline??

Here is my smb.conf file:

[global]

For roaming profiles to work under Samba, the top-level profile directory (/home/samba-ntprof in your case) must be read/write for all the users (rwxrwx--- root users). You want the directories created for each user to accessable on for that user (rwx------ someone users). The "create mask" and "directory mask" in your profile share are correct, but you want to remove the "inherit permissions" setting since this will override the create masks and set the users profile directories the same as the top-level directory.
