Question Restart network


Is nobody know if there is no problem with a remote command for restart the network of my machine after making change in
/etc/sysctl.conf file ?
The commnand : /etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart
I'm afraid to loose connection with this command.

why would you need to restart the network if you change the sysctl.conf (kernel parameters) ?

just use

sysctl -p /etc/sysctl.conf

Then, let me know please if this configuration is correct before i apply change ?

net.ipv4.ip_forward=0
net.ipv4.conf.default.rp_filter = 1
kernel.sysrq = 0
net.ipv4.icmp_echo_ignore_all = 1
net.ipv4.icmp_echo_ignore_broadcasts = 1
net.ipv4.conf.all.accept_source_route = 0
net.ipv4.tcp_syncookies = 1
net.ipv4.conf.all.accept_redirects = 0
net.ipv4.conf.all.rp_filter = 1
