removing smbmount shortcuts from the desktop

hey guys, for some reason if I use fstab to automount my network shares it puts a shortcut for every one of them on my desktop. how annoying! Does anyone know how to nuke those off?

I made the mistake of simply trying to delete them and it started deleting stuff on my share!!

Any ideas?

I'm using gnome on fedora core 1
