I am trying to use my RedHat 9 Box to connect to my VNC boxes. I go to Internet, More internet applications, and I select "Remote Desktop Connection" It will not allow me to enter another boxes IP, or Browse the network. It says "Browsing the network is notpossable. You probably diddint install SLP support correctly." Im not sure what SLP is, probably why its not installed correctly. What is SLP support and how can I install it correctly so that I can use this tool to connect to my VNC servers? Thanks!

I installed the OpenSLP RPM and looked at the etc/slp.conf file. The Remote Desktop Connection is still saying that SLP support is not installed correctly. Is SLP a service I have to start, or do I need to change something in the slp.conf file? If you need any more info please let me know.

What did you exactly do? I just installed redhat 9.0 on my laptop. This is really a pain in ass! for me. I should have left Ubuntu on here, but too late now. I downloaded and installed that openslp thing, and tried to read the configuration files but don't know if i have to changed anything? I have the service started in services. Thank you for your time on this matter.
