Redundent network connection...
Hello, everybody
I just want to ask this quick question, and I hope that somebody will be able to point me in the right direction…
Current setup:
Subnet A--Linux CIPE A---------------Internet-----------Linux CIPE B--Network
---------Router A --Frame Relay connection 56K--Router B---------
We are currently setting up several VPNs using CIPE. We are replacing 56K Frame relay lines. We would like to keep the Frame relay lines and use them only if our internet connection goes down. Giving us a backup or redundant network connection.
I was thinking that it may be possible to some how to use the two Linux boxes as gateways, and modify their routing tables so that if the default route goes down, the backup route (frame) would become default…
What would be the best way to setup this redundant or backup connection?
Any comments or help would be greatly appreciated Thanks!
