Question Red Hat 7.2 won't connect when...


I am running Red Hat 7.2 on a Dell OEM, Intel 810 chipset, P3 proc, Kingston nic, speedstream 5260 adsl modem, static IP. Here is my problem.
I connect via LAN as I am static. All necessary parameters were entered for the LAN at install. If I leave my modem on while I boot to Red Hat, I have no problem connecting to the internet. However, if I boot to Red Hat and turn my modem off after the OS is up then turn the modem back on I can no longer connect. What is the problem?:

Sorry, i can't help you, but i have the same problem.
do you know who i can set the dial on demand parameters, like idle-time...??
