Question Re-route packets between 2 application servers

Evening all,

I have been kinda bogged down by this:
Here's the scenario,
Two application servers running on linux do not connect to the internet directly and therefore use each a linux box as routers.

How can I re-route the packets from one of the application servers to the next through the two Linux servers on a given port say 6789?

The scenario is described below:
side A = an app server, a Linux server, side B = a linux server and an app server

Cheers

you need to give more details here, it's very cloudy what you're really after. how does the internet relate to this? does it actually matter at all? you can't route all traffic through a single port (well, apart from a socks proxy or something, which is really not going to be what you want).
