Mmmhh eventhough it is filtered by a firewall (or you are using a global internet adress as your internal adress), you should not post an ip adress (IBM?) of a ftp server with username, password And not post your box IP also... (9.186.x.y)

ftp://test649:XwSpi13I@9.56.x.y/
(I removed the last 2 bytes.. you could do so)

For your problem there seems to be a firewall or NAT problem.

What do you mean by this?:
Quote:
remote ftp server(telnet)
If you are trying to connect to a passive ftp server using a telnet command, you will need an other process to be able to connect (and received data) to the opened port (252*256+64) and this process should not talk telnet protocol, example netcat or socat are such programs.
But its a bit tricky

AND why posting your question twice in the same forum?

Your netfilter (iptables) firewall on the ftp server side is probably blocking the ftp-data connection your client is trying to open when you attempt to store the file. You didn't say which ftp server you're using, but most ftp servers, if not all, provide the ability to define a fixed range of ports that ftp will use for passive mode data traffic. You can then unfilter those ports on the server using iptables.
