quick help with DNS Server

Ok basically I would like to know what was involved in setting up a DNS Server...

I realise I will install DNS and BIND (right?) but is there anything else I should know... Ive looked around on the net and nothing that is all that helpful...

there is nothing you need to install except BIND.
You can start configure the file in /etc/named.conf and in the /var/named

maybe this site can help you to setup your DNS server

When you choose BIND ensure your configuration is good and you're chrooted BIND, since BIND is one of the programs with a bad security history...
