Qmail + Mailserver + relay problem....

hi all,

i ve a problem with my qmail configuration. (i think)...
first of all; i created a file /etc/tcp.smtp. it contains :

:allow,RELAYCLIENT=""
127.0.0.1:allow,RELAYCLIENT=""

an also in my /var/qmail/control/rcpthosts file contans my domains. Ex:
mydomain1.com
mydomain2.com
....

but in this case, when i control my process with ps -aux, i see that someone use qmail-remote

....
qmail-remote aol.com guillermo_goddard@agate.net tinitabs@aol.com
....

for stopping this, i change my tcp.smtp file. and i tried all combination...

:allow
127.0.0.1:allow,RELAYCLIENT=""
## i never send an email to another server (ex an email@yahoo.com)

how can stop this problem??
and the other problem, my mails arent received by other mail server just in time. it waits one or two hours. i think it depens on the first problem....

thanks

Are you reloading your tcp rules (with most installs it is something like 'qmailctl cdb')

The stuff you are seeing with ps aux is qmail-remote trying to deliver a message to somebody on AOL. Are you trying to say that you're NOT sending mail with your server but somehow qmail-remote is trying to make a delivery?? If that's the case, you may want to try looking at your qmail-send logs and see who is sending out these messages. You should do as he suggests and "qmailctl cdb" which regenerates the tcprules file.

How are you authenticating to smtp? Are you using POP-before-smtp, or smtpauth? Maybe you need to firewall your server so that only local users can access it.
