problem in starting internet


hi all

i am trying to connect to internet through my linux machine(2.6)RHEL4, but i am getting problem as host un reachable.
I am using broadband connection with auto login.
the entry for nic is perfect as
ip:61.16.224.250
mask:255.255.255.224
gateway:61.16.224.225
dns:61.16.224.225 and 202.144.50.4

Iptables service is stop

Now what can i do to correct my network. as in xp it works fine.just opening the explorer and it start working (i.no login).
