So I've got the home network. Can't do CUPS IPP because one of the workstation is a Windoze NT machine so I'm sharing the printer from the XP workstation. I can print if I use this command
smbclient //XPWorkstation/HPLaserJ -P -U administrator -c 'print hello.txt'

I can't print if I use the SuSE/YAST printer setup wizard thing. When I choose the "test remote SMB Printing" from YAST I get "you specified an invalid queue name on the printer server, the printer server does not accept print jobs, or the queue on the printer server does not accept print jobs."

I can print from the NT workstation and from the XP partition on this workstation. I can do a lookup of the host server and print queue in the YAST setup tool and it finds them. I login with the administrator id and password. Something's missing. Do I need to do more SMB config on this end?

im having the EXACT same problem, and the kicker is I upgraded from 8.2 where the printing was working fine, but after the upgrade, it stopped working. Very frustrating, I can't figure out what I could be missing.
