Printing Questions

First:
We have a non-networked printer connected to an Intel print server that uses IPX only and that in turn is connected to our network... redhat-printer-config asks for a queue name when you select NCP as the printing protocol (so it definitely depends on a Novell server) Using mars-nwe, how can you CREATE a print queue and map it to a hardware print server, or does mars-nwe depend on an actual NetWare server (that's what it seems like as even the pserver program to create a print server wants a server and a queue name)?

Second:
Is the web based portion of CUPS only available on localhost? I tried to access it across the network but it didn't work (I know SWAT has a line in its xinetd.d config file that allows you to turn that feature on and off, but the CUPS-LPD file didn't) any ideas?

BTW - Using Red Hat 9

I don't know the answer to the first question, but I do know the second because I ran into the same thing a few days ago.

You will have to hack the cupsd.conf file (for me it was in /etc/cups/)

In the <Location /> section add the line find where is says "Allow From 127.0.0.1" and add a new line under that to allow more IP's. Or allow everyone connecting from a particular interface... this is what I did.

Allow From @IF(eth0)

Now you will have to add the same line to the <Location /admin> section as well. Restart CUPS and it should work. The cupsd.conf file I have is well documented, so it shouldn't be hard to figure out.

....

I hope it works out for you because I need Karma. I'm having porblem in getting windows to print to cups over the network reliably.
