ppp: vj decompression error

Any one know what that means? It shows up about 19 times when I dmesg. Apparently I have an irq conflict too. I'm having trouble getting a ppp connect, have to start and stop, keep trying to dial, then it finally works.
I'd welcome profound advice about irq conflicts or that vj thing.

[i have a pci modem that I just left in there and hooked up a zoom external modem, don't know if that could foul stuff up]
