Lightbulb Ping fail to interface which are in different bridge

Hello All,

I have two interfaces to go to internet.I use linux kernel 2.6.21 platform.

br1 ----- interface0
|
---- interface1

-----interface2

br1 and interfce2 can go to internet.

Problem is that when I set default route to interface2 then if i try :

ping -I br1 8.8.8.8

This all the time fail. I want to go for fail over so need to check internet
connectivity using ping but if one interface is set as default route other
interface can not be ping to check if it can connect to internet.

If anyone has some better idea or suggestion, pls give one.

Thanks in advance
