Perpetual Aya Miura Advert

I keep encountering an advertisement for Aya Miura which pops onto the screen after I get into the reading of the subject and has NO X to get rid of it. I thought these adverts were required to have a means to dispense of them, has that changed? I cannot get to the top of it to use any X that might have been provided. Suggestions?

If your browser has that functionality configure per-site popup / Javascript settings or use a plug-in like NoScript or equivalent or else, if you want a browser-agnostic approach, a filtering proxy like Privoxy?
