PCs can not see together in networking

In windows, it is easy to see PCs together. I can not do it in F11. How can I do? pls help me.

I use XPS-1330, installed F11

please elaborate on "see PCs together"

if you cannot ping the other pc from your F11, check its IP configuration as root
# ifconfig
