Hello everyone,
I'm currently working with Fedora 8 [x86_64] - fresh install. Before I was also using Fedora 8 and KVpnc to make use of an OpenVPN connection. So I made a backup of Kvpnc's config and imported into the freshly installed system. Unfortunately I'm not able to make my openvpn connection work again.
I've enabled the OpenVPN service, allowed Port 1194 in SELinux and enabled port forwarding on my hardware firewall.
What I've also notice is when launching the vpn connection I do not see tun0 in /sbin/ifconfig.
Another problem could also be SELinux: when starting kvpnc, SELinux Troubleshoot browser pops up with the following message:
Code:
Summary: SELinux is preventing vpnc (vpnc_t) "read write" to socket (unconfined_t).
Detailed Description: SELinux denied access requested by vpnc. It is not expected that this access is required by vpnc and this access may signal an intrusion attempt. It is also possible that the specific version or configuration of the application is causing it to require additional access.
- disabling SELinux doesn't help though.
Installed NetworkManager, NetworkManager-vpn, NetworkManager-openvpn, vpnc, kvpnc, openvpn.
Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance for your inputs,
Regards,
Chris
