Open a certain port in Damn Small Linux

How do I open a certain port in DSL? I'm trying to set up a Vent server and it says that it cannot "bind to TCP socket" and I'm thinking it is because of the port it is trying to use. I saw some things about iptables but I do not have that nor exactly know how to use it. Is there some way to open a port using something that DSL already has?

DSL has a build in firewall, think it is located in the setup section, where you configure the connection

I'm not seeing where that is. All I saw was how to configure my network card.

In the setup option in DSL, there is nothing called firewall or linux firewall.
