only ftp login

Does anyone know if it is possible to make user accounts who only can login on ftp and not on something else (like ssh)

Beause i want to to a ftp server, but i dont want a anonymous login, or that th people who have teh ftp password can login whit ssh or something.

I have te set the ssh port open, because i need to login for some administrative tasks.

Does anyone know a solution?

Hi tuxandme,

you can change the login shell of the ftp users.

read the manual of usermod (man usermod) .

usermod -s /bin/false <username>

In the file /etc/shells must be an entry "/bin/false" .
