Hi,
I just installed and configure a bridge-firewall and is working just fine, now I wanted to monitor the traffic that goes through it so I downloaded, compiled and installed the latest ntop but...
Go figure something is not right and I haven't being able to figure it out so here I'm.
Here is the scenario:
I have the bridge setup with the ip 192.168.1.92, I can ping it and access it through ssh, etc...
I have the ntop installed and I already give the password for admin that requests the first time you run it without being a deamon.
I started with
Code:
ntop -u ntop -i br0 -w 3000 -W 80 -d
and I get the screen message to the point where it says "Becoming a deamon"
So far so good you would think but no.
If I go to
http://192.168.1.92:3000 I do get connection, I checked the client machine and the SYN is good and so it is on the server but no AKN ever gets back.
I looked into the syslog and the /var/log/messages and they show no errors, the br0 is actually going promiscuous, so I'm clueless right now.
Please drop a line with whatever comes to your mind about this.
Many thanks.
