No nfs4 connection : Protocol not supported

Hi everyone!

I'm currently experiencing a problem with my NFS home connection.
I have a desktop running with F11 (kernel: 2.6.29.5-191.fc11.x86_64) which acts as the server, and a client laptop running with F10 (kernel: 2.6.27.25-170.2.72.fc10.x86_64)

I have set up a NFS4 connection between these two (following the instructions here) and it has always been working flawlessly, until today.

My problem today is that, on my laptop, I'm unable to mount my server's shared directory. Whenever I try, I get the following:
Code:
# mount -a
mount.nfs4: Protocol not supported
I don't know what this is supposed to mean nor why it's happening just like that, all of a sudden.

Somebody knows what's wrong?

Thank you for your time.

This seems like a solution: http://fcp.surfsite.org/modules/newb...73579&forum=10

Quote:
edit your "/etc/init.d/nfs" file as follows:

Comment out line 97 and add the following line (which removes the -N 4.1)

echo -n $"Starting NFS daemon: "
# For now, turn off the nfs41 support
# daemon rpc.nfsd -N 4.1 $RPCNFSDARGS $RPCNFSDCOUNT
daemon rpc.nfsd $RPCNFSDARGS $RPCNFSDCOUNT

Then, restart your NFS server (service nfs restart)
