NIS behind apf firewall how to


HI,

iam facing problem with NIS. NIS Client working fine if apf firewall on server stopd. Whats the port range that NIS server will bind so i can open those ports

It may be a little out-of-date in some cases (I'm not too sure), but otherwise it is an excellent How-to.

The answer to your question depends on the settings in /etc/ypserv.conf
