nfs / nis problem - slow copy to servermounts but fast from server to local hdd

Hello NG,

i got a strange nfs-problem. I can copy very fast from my server but if i copy files from my client to the servermounts, it is very slow.

I changed mount-parameters from sync to async - but only tranfering data from server is fast not to the server.

Any suggestions?

I have async on my client, sync on my server, and it works just fine. IIRC, changing to async on the server caused mine to slow down.
