Cool Networking with Samba

I am setting up my Linux Suse 8.1 machine to be seen and used on my network. All my other machines on my network are windows XP home.
I tried pinging and all the computers can ping each other.
All of the XP machines see eachother in the Windows network.
Now I want to get the Linux machine to be seen on it too.
I am very lost I have been looking everywhere for info on how to get this done. Is there anyone that can help and explain easily and clearly?

Good Luck! I'm in your same boat. Running SuSE 8.1 pro.

It seems Windows Xp is a real b*** when it comes to networking with Linux. 2k is much MUCH better!

See my other posts. XP is a pain in the behind!!!!
