What kind of suggestion are you looking for? It appears with what you have you can set up a small home network. Is that what you were looking for?

that is exactly what i planned to do but since i am unfamiliar with the most important commands in linux and searching the internet takes too long time i will be very glad with a view commands regarding to find ip's and set up hardware in a net work behind a adsl router and lan switch with 2 pc's and divxplayer(kiss dp-500) and yes if possible best solution for this.
