Network Packet Filter vs ipchains

I just was compiling my new kernel and was wondering if anyone has thoughts of the new network packet filtering in the latest kernel. If I should, or shouldnt install this. Please respond.

The new network packet filter is iptables. Unless you are stuck on the old ipchains then it's probably best to be using iptables since it has a lot of extra's which ipchains doesn't have. You can't use both so you will have to choose either one.
