Network Initialize

Been playing with Fedora...

All worked fine on my DHCP connection..

Now I've moved the box to the office with a static IP address
having some issues with the switch from dhcp to static

I changed the file

network
added the hostname and gateway

Changed the

ifcfg-eth0

changed the bootproto to static
Set the Ip address
and the netmask

Where else do I need to change things so it works on startup?
I have to ifconfig eth0 ipaddress for it to initialize

when I reboot all is lost again..

Thanks for helpin a newb out..
Cheers

Is your dhcp client running on bootup maybe? If it is then after the init.d scripts configure your intereface statically, your dhcp client comes along and over writes those settings.
