I have been doing IT network installing and configuring, network security, and software development now for about 8 years. My experience started when I was learning from contractor during my deployments in Afghanistan, to college and a couple companies i have worked for. Now I am starting a company and having the hardest time figuring out a good price for network design and instillation services.
So far for businesses I have come to $166/hr + equipment.
and for residential ( Mainly new construction )
$80/hr + plus equipment.
I am located in the Houston, Texas area.
Any insight on my pricing would be much appreciated.
If you can talk to some companies who have had recent work done and get an idea of what other companies doing the same work are charging, it may give you an idea about the market value for your service. Network, and listen. A LOT!
