Netgear FA510 Gentoo

Gentoo Linux isn't reading my Netgear FA510 card, though two days ago it was reading a Linksys card.
modprobe pcmcia says cannot locate pcmcia module
cardctl status says no card
I'm assuming that Linux isn't reading the card. Any ideas?
