Need to setup a computer router

Hello,I am not sure if this belongs here but I am new here I was wondering if anyone can give me advice on a good router software I am an average Linux user and this will be my first Linux firewall router

It's simply for home.

Devices
2 desktops
laptop
Xbox
blackberry
Iphone
Ipad tablet

I have built a system 2 days ago 500 GB HD 4GB RAM Intel Dual Core 2.6GHZ 6 PCI SLOTS 1 network card Intel/Pro/1000GT will be adding more network cards such as wireless adapters.

What is the best firewall for me ?

Hi LinuxSTI,

Can I first ask a question? What are you using for your wireless? Normally this would be a router which would be the solution I'd recommend, as provided that you don't open all sorts of ports, it would be a decent hardware "firewall" configuration.

If you feel you need more protection, you could install an additional firewall program on your Desktops and Laptop - but typically I wouldn't install firewall software on mobile devices such as phones/tablets.
