I have 2 laptops. One has red hat 9 and one has Suse 9. I need to get these 2 connected in some way so that I can transfer files between the 2 systems. I do not have a router. I am using a dial up connection. Can I do this without a router and just connecting the 2 systems with a network cable. I am really new at this and would appreciate any and as much information as anyone can provide. Or if you have a good recommendation on a website detailing how to accomplish this that would be helpful as well.
you can connecting the 2 systems with a network cable ( cross connection ) . once you connect two system then use any nework file sharing method for share files like FTP or NFS.
