My Name is Bilal and m Running Linux 8.0 physche .....and i have a problem with the transparent proxy I cant make it running and my network uses proxy seting in browser to surf the network .........My Network scenerio is like dat ...
1- I have a server of Linux 8.0 wid 256 RD ram and 40 GB Baracuda wid 30 GB of /cache partition.
2- I m connected to a Radio network which is my gateway to internet. I have2 lan cards eth0 and eth1.
3- Eth0 is connected to the gateway router and has an ip address 202.88.37.139 subnet mask 255.255.255.240 and the other Eth1 has my network Ip 192.168.0.1 subnet 255.255.255.0
I have configured the squid and it is running well i have configured it wid delay pool to give clients desired bandwidth i have a 128 circuit wich i have distributed among my network clients. but my clients are using proxy setting to access the web squid is not acting transparent i have done the things and also used iptables to route the requests to the ports wid dese commands :
/sbin/iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p TCP -i eth0 --dport 80 -s 10.120.120.0/255.255.255.0 -j REDIRECT --to-port 8080
/sbin/iptables -A RH-Lokkit-0-50-INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --syn -s 10.120.120.0/255.255.255.0 --dport 80 -j ACCEPT
and seached the web for help can get it rgt till now ..... but still the squid is not transparent at all.

Can ne one guide me abt it and give me the right commands to use and right procedure to make my squid transparent according to my network scenerio
My network clients access my server thru eth1 and my eth0 is working as a Internet gateway .
Help me in this regard i would b thankful to u all.
