Unhappy Mn-520

My Microsoft MN-520 wireless 801.11b card fails to work with arklinux...I have the linux wlan packages installed, when i type (cardctl ident) , the card shows up as a microsoft wireless card, manfid:0x02d2, 0x001 Function: 6 (network) . Yes, I have read the forums, and set up the config files right, and reinstalled arklinux and tried it many times. When arklinux starts up, it says that its trying to load the card, just like it loads my ethernet card. is the orinoco_cs module the right one? my distro is fairly uncommon, but i believe it shares its code with redhat 8, any suggestions would help, especially from someone who's worked with arklinux.
