map port to other computer

hello,
i'm using ubuntu edgy and opensuse 10.2,
i've installed dosemu to run my dos application. the application
then needs to print "only" to lpt1.
i've map the dosemu lpt1 to /dev/lp0, so when the program prints to
lpt1, it actually prints to /dev/lp0.
but the problem is, i don't want to print to local printer. i want
to print to my friend's.
can dosemu use network printer (instead of local one)?
how can i map the /dev/lp0 to my friend's computer printer port?
thank you,

faizal

The only way I can think of doing this is IF dosemu allows you to map a dos LPT#: port to a pipe.

CUPS and smbclient have scripts that accept print jobs on stdin.

hello,
it's solved. but not by mapping local lpt1 to a network
printer, but by changing the setting in dosemu.

but i still want to know how to map lpt1 to a network
printer though,
