hi
i just installed mandrake 9.2 without any problem on my pentium II 330 mhz computer. It is a dual boot, i have windows 2000 running too. But now i have two problems. 1. i cannot acces internet (Intel Etherexpress (TM) PRO/10 adaptor, Motorola SB4200E surfboard Cable Modem, ) and 2. i worked with mr project but almost every time I try to save a project (with "save as") I cannot open the project any more. I get the message : "fatale fault, segmentation fault".
I am a beginner, can you help me without getting very technical, or at least try to explain in a simple way ? thank you.

Usually cable modem run as dchp; then it assign automatically your IP

Go to "Configure your Computer" at the menu
Inside it you can configure your conection (network & Internet)
Tell us what happen after the new setup

nothing happens, that's the problem. in the mandrake configuration center, nothing seems ok. No INTERNET connection, nothing. During installation mandrake asked if i wanted dhcp (default) and i said "yes".
Is it possible that my Intel etherexpress is not known to mandrake and that i have to download drivers ? And if so, how do i do that ?

In the hardware section the card is set?

In Internet run you the wizard?

Does ur ISP give the IP via dhcp?
How do u connect?
What do u must do to connect?
But I think that u dont need anymore
Only set up correctly the devices
Dont forget to make /etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart after any changes
Tell me what happen
