Does anybody here use a similar setup...

Linux machine w/ router w/ ISP using DHCP?

If I can't ping my router, and as d4k0t4 said, it appears that the addresses are set to microsoft defaults, would the problem lie with the network card or the router?

Whe I use to run Mandrake I had to often after a reboot go to the control panel and restart the init.d.
There is a command for it but I can't think of what it is now.
Just go to services and under network you should be able to start it there.
If not consider going to RH9 you won't have this problem.
IF you can get a copyof SUSE 8.2 pro it is a wonderful workstation.
You will not have net problems with either one of these.

That depends... Check if a driver for your NIC exists. If it is OK try to check iptables config. First try to switch iptables off. If it helps configure iptables properly. If it doesn't help you have some other problem...
