Distribution: SuSE 8.2
We have an Active Directory infrastructure based on Windows 2000 running in our environment. I'm looking for an alternative to opening up VMWare and using the Active Directory admin tools. Does anyone know of a way to modify Active Directory (or rather, LDAP) objects within Linux? I attempted to use "directory_administrator" that came with SuSE 8.2; however, it constantly locks the process.
Install terminal services on a DC (or other server in your domain) and use rdesktop to connect and aminister AD from a terminal session. Works great! HTH
Yeah, that's what I'm doing now for a few of the services that I don't have loaded in the VM yet; however, there are SEVERAL network managers and we don't want to use up our two licenses. Plus, as a personal note *grin*, I'd like to find a way to do it, if it's possible.
