Mail server to relay

i recently installed suse 9.1 pro. I need a mail server to use as a relay server in my oracle programes. When i installed suse both sendmail and postfix got insatlled and postfix process is running.

Can i use either of above as relay server for my programs. If so what configurations do i need to do?

thanks

either of the two will suffice. Postfix is easier to configure and get it up and running.

I would presume you want your oracle programs to be able to send mails to users/admins through this mailserver you are planning to setup.
