Mail server / name server issue

I have a mail server running.. i'm using sendmail... the incoming/outgoing mail servers are mail.domainname.com .. I am trying to send/receive mail with the pop account from a Windows XP computer which I have networked to my linux computer. I can receive mail fine, but when I try to send it says "Relaying denied, IP name lookup failed 192.168.10.1" .. so i'm guessing it is having trouble looking up my internal IP address of my windows computer.. anyone know what I can do to fix this?

how is your dns setup??

do you have 3 main zones, root zone, 192.168.10. zone and domainname.com zone???

in your sendmail config enable relaying for domainname.com
drop me a pm and i can give more detailed information

Thumbs up must enable relay

Sendmail by default doesn't allow any relaying except from localhost.

u need to goto /etc/mail and look for the sendmail.mc file and comment off the line which only allow relaying from localhost

Then use the M4 command to generate a new sendmail.cf file.
It's all explained in the /etc/mail/sendmail.mc file

Relaying denied. IP name lookup failed [193.251.170.121]

Relaying denied. IP name lookup failed [193.251.170.121], When I'm trying to send an email, I get the message: Relaying denied. IP name lookup failed [193.251.170.121]. I would appreciate someone telling me how I can fix that.
